FEAG Bremen chooses an EHRT punching machine again

EHRT Maschinenbau GmbH has installed a new, state-of-the-art punching machine at FEAG Bremen GmbH, the Bremen subsidiary of the German electrical engineering company FEAG. EHRT Maschinenbau GmbH is a leading specialist for bending and punching machines for copper processing and manufactures high-performance machines for small and medium-sized production series.

FEAG Bremen was looking for a new punching machine as its existing system no longer complied with the company’s current requirements. The new machine needed to enable more accurate planning of the production process, offer a more user-friendly interface, and also provide more flexibility in being able to adapt to the specific needs of the company.

EHRT offered FEAG Bremen GmbH the optimum solution for the electrical switchgear market: the old punching machine was replaced by a new, state-of-the-art FlexPunch series machine. This series is characterized by its very flexible and modular system. A range of individual components enables the machine to be adapted to the individual wishes and needs of the customer, enabling parts to be manufactured with perfect precision. The advantages of the FlexPunch machine: The operator only needs to start the machine, supply the materials, and remove the parts manufactured. And these processes can also be extensively automated through additional options such as a gantry or an automatic material feeding system. No extra employees are needed to adjust the machine, enabling major time, money and personnel savings.

Having been a satisfied EHRT customer for a long time, it did not take long for FEAG Bremen GmbH to decide on purchasing another EHRT machine when looking for a new punching machine. “Our production department has been using an EHRT bending machine for a long time and to our great satisfaction,” said production manager Mr Holst, praising the quality of the machine. Their positive experiences, the fact that they were already familiar with the system, and the optimum price-performance ratio were sufficient to convince FEAG Bremen that, once again, EHRT machines were the right choice.

Installing the FlexPunch went very smoothly and there were no problems implementing it. The operation of the new punching machine is largely self-explanatory and the staff at FEAG Bremen quickly became familiar with the system so that production was resumed after a three-day operator training course. “We are very satisfied with how the new FlexPunch punching machine is working, especially because it’s compatible with our bending machine, thus creating a uniform system,” concluded Mr Holst.
