Technical Article in SCHALTSCHRANKBAU Magazine: “Weniger Energie, mehr Effizienz“
In the current October issue (6/2026) of the trade magazine SCHALTSCHRANKBAU, a detailed technical article highlights the potential of modern drive technology in manufacturing. The focus is on our electrically driven Bending Terminal BT 20E and the results from an internal series of tests on the bending of copper and aluminum busbars.
An overview of the key findings:
- Significant energy savings: Thanks to its demand-responsive servo-electric drive, the BT 20E consumes up to 54 percent less energy compared to conventional hydraulic systems.
- Full performance: With a bending force of over 20 tons and a high accuracy of ± 0.2°, the electric system is in no way inferior to its hydraulic counterparts.
- Improved working conditions: The BT 20E operates noticeably quieter during everyday use. This results in a significant reduction in noise levels in the production area and provides long-term relief for operating personnel.
- Maintenance-friendly and reliable: Since the system operates entirely without hydraulic oil, it is insensitive to temperature fluctuations and delivers consistently reliable results with minimal maintenance requirements.
